"After hearing about TablEdit from a friend, I have been using this great software for a number of years now. As a 'beginner' Scruggs style banjo player I was able to access hundreds of free TAB (and more for low cost) geared to varying levels of ability. From what I have seen no other software has this volume available. Without an instructor TablEdit, allowed me to play TABs up to speed so I could hear the tune as it should sound and then play at slow/increasing tempos as I learned the tune. Once I progressed, I used some of the available TAB as starting blocks by replacing prewritten licks with ones I was more familiar with. This made it easier to learn new tunes as well as change my approach from learning whole tunes by rote, to thinking of tunes as a series of licks. This, after time, allowed me to write my own TABs and progress into playing by ear which was my goal."
