TablEdit Users Say:
"It is easy for me to recommend TablEdit to string players. I play a Resonator Guitar [a.k.a. Dobro] most often in open G turning, but on occasion open D tuning. I have used Finale Print Music, Finale, and Sibelius Lite; all fine programs; all with tablature features. But getting any of those three programs to set up for Dobro is a chore. This is especially true if you want to play a note that can be played on different strings determined by the fret. An example: on the Resonator middle G is an open string or fourth string, fifth fret, or fifth string, eighth fret. Depending on the basic melodic sequence, I want to be able to ask any tablature program to reflect that. Only TablEdit makes it easy. And, asking any of the three programs mentioned to print just the TABs is also a workaround."

The internal text strings take the following form (extract): STR 33, "&Tablature and Stave"
As with the menus, you must NEVER alter anything outside of the double-quotes! TablEdit is supplied with a template file based on the English version of the program (model.str). You can use a copy of this file as a basis for your own modifications. You should proceed slowly at first, carefully checking your results with TablEdit. |
